Some Exciting News!!

Monday morning early, we received a phone call from my son Pat. For some reason, as is common with these cell phones, we didn’t get a ring. We could see, however, that he had called. But he didn’t leave a message.  Uh Oh, I thought to myself, not another emergency call. It was Monday morning early and I wondered, "Has Pat or his family had an emergency?"  I guess I’m kinda paranoid. I just don’t know if I can handle another catastrophe or not. Pat is a Federal Agent and flies all over the country all the time.  That worries me. His son Patrick lives in New York City and that scares me. Just about everything scares me. Anyhow, as soon as Ms. Pat told me of the missed call, I immediately called him back, at the same time wondering if I really wanted to hear what he was going to say.

I could tell he was excited.  He was driving to the airport to catch a flight out for the week. I don’t know if he was so excited he couldn’t talk or the phone kept cutting out, but I couldn’t understand him. I hate cell phones! I can’t hear well on them and between them cutting out, blanking out and the talk overs, they drive me nuts.   I finally heard him scream “Shala is going to have TWINS”!!!  I was so excited, it took my breath away. Wow, that is wonderful and we celebrated together. I knew that they had just announced a short time ago that  she was expecting, That within itself was very exciting for us and especially for her parents Pat and Michelle. This is their FIRST grandchild, something they had been looking forward to for a while. I knew they were extremely happy about that but to find out that it is going to be twin girls was out of this world.

That was the top excitement for the week so far and I’m sure it can’t get any better than that!   Ms. Pat did well at her shoot yesterday at the range, She is getting into some action shooting now and is learning quick. She is shooting up the ammo right and left. I need to get to reloading. I have some reloading equipment picked out and I have been studying like mad trying to get up to speed on it. I had no idea it was so “involved”...Wow, a lot to learn. I sure appreciate everyone's help and support.

Looking into the Crystal Ball, I see a short trip in our Motorhome in the future……. Hummm, wonder what that’s all about? Guess we will just have to wait until the picture is a little clearer. Meanwhile, Ms. Pat heads up to the Club House to Line Dance and I head out to my gun shop to clean guns and do some more studying.

It is a GREAT WEEK!!!!    We continue to be in awe with our Lords wonderful Blessings!

Thanks for stopping by…..

That's how you want to start your day. Twins. Well at least for you guys. The parents might have second thoughts about twins a few times. (like that lack of sleep) But how exciting.

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you! Shala is a beautiful young lady. Those twins are going to be so lucky to have loving grandparents on both sides of the family.

Comment on your Jan 11 posting with Jerry & Caryl standing front of the Wickenburg Sportsman Club. It is a small world after all as they say. The name on the enclosure in the picture of them, Gerry Cavanaugh, is dedicated to a life long friend of mine who passed away on St. Patricks Day, 2011. He and his wife, Yvonne were friend of Jerry & Caryl and Cavanaugh was an Illinois State Trooper.

He is sorely missed by me and my wife and was a great guy. We have gone through thousands of rounds of ammo shooting together over the years.
