Scott A."Scooter" McFall
JUNE 28, 1961 - JUNE 5, 2008
Yesterday was the 2ND anniversary of Scott being called home by our Lord. It was also National Trails Day. We decided to hike the 10K (6.2 miles) to the top of Crazy Horse Mountain and stand on the arm in Scott's honor. We couldn't think of a better way to pay tribute to Scott's memory. He had visited us here a couple of times and loved the Black Hills.

We are sure missing Rollie and Gina and counting down the days until they get here. They will be heading this way 3 weeks from today.
We continue to thank the Lord for his loving guidance and comforting support.

Your Kids
Seems to be some resemblance between that big Crazy Horse guy & that big Mike guy:))
That was a great way to remember and pay tribute to your son Scott. You and Pat have so much inner strength.
I remember going to the Crazy Horse Monument and couldn't get over how big it was. We never took the hike to the arm though - next time for sure!
I remember a few years ago when we were in Custer and went to see the Chief. How big it is. I will probably never see it finished but maybe some day my grandaughter will be able to see it.
Wow - sounds like quite a memorable hike. I agree with Al, seems like a bit of a self portrait there in the background...
I'd never even heard about the Crazy Horse Monument until I saw your post with pictures. So the big question is....can you climb up his face? It would be quite a memorable experience to hang out in his eyeball eating a sandwich. Just sayin'
